Your Arrival

  • On the day of your intensive, try to keep your morning as light and simple as possible. Set up some space in the morning and evening to move deliberately. Try not to plan any social activities or work in the evening following your intensive.

  • Remain substance-free for the entirety of the intensive.

  • There is often a range of post-intensive reactions to EMDR, and though some can feel more clear and energized, others can experience tiredness or difficulty with concentration. Schedule some time for your brain time to process the session.

  • Following our intensive, practice the self-care resources you acquired during our session.

  • Set up the follow-up session to assess and support adaptation. Though intensives are not always the end of therapy, they can light the way for the best path to continue on to reach your goals.
